Charlotte, NC – August 21, 2025 – Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI) is pleased to announce the opening of the new dedicated, on-terminal DCLI Chassis Area at Port Houston’s Bayport Terminal. Now open for use, this footprint introduces a designated pick-up and drop-off area for Direct ChassisLink Pools (DCLP) chassis that gives motor carriers easy access to road-ready equipment precisely where it’s needed.

DCLI Chassis Area Key Highlights:

  • No more searching for a good order chassis. DCLP chassis are organized, inspected, and maintained at the dedicated footprint. Motor carriers can avoid the hassle of navigating scattered areas and multiple gates across the terminal by heading to the new chassis area to find the right equipment.

  • Access up-to-date inventory tracking. We have improved available chassis inventory tracking on our website making the quantities listed more accurate.

  • Save time by using the dedicated chassis drop-off area. Instead of searching for an empty spot to drop chassis, motor carriers can find the space they need at the DCLI Chassis Area.

“We heard from Houston-based motor carriers that finding a reliable, good order pool chassis was a challenge,” said Phil Wolfe, acting chief operating officer for DCLI. “Our dedicated DCLP footprint at Bayport Terminal addresses this challenge directly, saving our customers time and eliminating the hassle of searching for a ready-to-roll piece of equipment. It’s just one more way we are working to be motor carriers’ chassis partner of choice.”
