Supplier Diversity

Having a diverse pool of vendors and suppliers is a powerful business tool.

Our Supplier Diversity Program is designed to encourage the use of the following types of suppliers:

  • Minority-owned businesses

  • Women-owned businesses

  • Veteran-owned businesses

  • Service-disabled veteran-owned businesses

  • LGBTQ-owned businesses

  • Small businesses

Our program is not a quota system or social program designed to benefit select groups while adding little value. It is a proactive business strategy that we strongly believe will improve our ability to serve our customers and, more importantly, help diverse suppliers move effectively into the mainstream of the economy and contribute to the growth of the communities where we do business.

As with all companies that want to do business with DCLI, suppliers who meet our diversity criteria must demonstrate their ability to add value and provide high-quality goods and services that are competitively priced, reliable, and aligned with DCLI’s superior level of service. In addition, we will actively pursue diverse suppliers that embrace our Core Values – Customer Focus, Respect, Collaboration, Integrity, Social Responsibility, and Safety Always. We believe the Supplier Diversity Program strengthens our sourcing process and helps bring tangible benefits to both our customers and the communities where we live and operate.

DCLI is pleased to partner with the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC). We are committed to supporting the NVBDC Certified Service-Disabled, and Veteran Owned Businesses (S.D./VOBs); This includes an ongoing effort to enhance outreach to secure S.D./VOBs in our procurement opportunities.
