Tropical Storm Zeta Information

UPDATE: October 28, 2020

Zeta is expected to make landfall at a hurricane along the northern Gulf coast later today, Wednesday, October 28, 2020. For our Marine customers, terminals in New Orleans and Mobile are closed today. The latest information for NOLA can be found here. For Mobile, please refer to APMT’s daily email blast for updated information.

Given the storm’s current path, there are currently no planned closures or expected service disruptions in Houston. However, we encourage you to continue checking with your local sources for the latest developments.

The best and safest course of action is still to return any unneeded DCLI chassis that are currently in your possession to an authorized start/stop location.

Please Note: For equipment that is on terminal, please make sure it is properly secured and parked in the safest possible location (removed from low-lying areas that could flood and away from any potential falling debris). Doing this will not only protect the equipment from damage as much as possible, but will also enable us to account for and inspect the equipment in a more streamlined and centralized fashion should any storm damage occur.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 27, 2020

As Tropical Storm Zeta continues its approach toward the northern Gulf Coast, we are hearing that terminals in New Orleans and Mobile are planning to be closed on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The latest information for NOLA can be found here and for Mobile, please refer to APMT’s daily email blast for updated information.

With the storm’s current path still moving towards the northern Gulf coast, we haven’t yet heard of any planned closures or service disruptions in Houston. However, it’s possible that the storm’s path could shift and a much broader area of the Gulf region may be impacted. As such, we encourage you to continue checking with your local sources for the latest developments.

Because this situation is still developing, the best and safest course of action is to return any unneeded DCLI chassis that are currently in your possession to an authorized start/stop location.

INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

As Tropical Storm Zeta approaches the Gulf Coast this week, our first priority is the safety of our employees, customers, equipment, and the motoring public. We want to ensure that you have the information you need to keep yourself and the equipment in your care safe.

While the current path of the storm shows it making landfall on the northern Gulf coast midweek, it’s possible that could shift as the storm develops and a much broader area of the Gulf region may be impacted.

*Map as of 10/26/2020

Because this situation is still developing, the best and safest course of action is to return any unneeded DCLI chassis that are currently in your possession to an authorized start/stop location. This will not only ensure that your obligation for the equipment is closed out, it will enable DCLI to account for and inspect the equipment in a more streamlined and centralized fashion should any storm damage occur.

We will  post updates on this page as Tropical Storm Zeta develops to keep you informed about its latest path and provide more information about our chassis. We are standing by to assist you with any questions you may have. You can reply to this message or email dclchasgulf@dcli.com for assistance.
